Here is my fix with velcro straps, should work on all 8e series............we will see how it holds up.

Thanks.............. It works but I am waiting on a part so haven't had a lot of track time to really see how it will hold up but the batteries don't bounce around anymore.

Got hook and loop velcro one side is the hook the other is the loop makes a circle and rolls around and locks in. Few bashing and solid no major movements and the velcro is holding strong. I ran it through the 2 side holes and glues the fuzzy side of the velcro to the bottom side of mount. On the battery area i took the stop pad they gave and cut it to fit the entire area and glued that in also. So the soft side of the velcro also coushins the sides of the battery as well as secures them in place.

Got the hook and loop for 6 bucks at my local harbor freight. Also they have a nice xacto knife for 4 bucks have a nice rubber grip and makes body trimmimg effort less.

i did this a week ago on my eq 8e, it works very well. no problems and my 5000 mah lipos now fit. i didn't have to take out the battery trays though i just easily fished them through no problem. everyone should do it those plastic hold downs are for the birds.
