I was going through Youtube the other day and found this guy that modified his Lightning to go over 112MPH

LOL, darin you comented saying even you are surprised to see a lightening go that fast!

im not. my lightening is the toughest on-road chassis i have owned. slapping in a higher RPM motor and running it on 4s will undoubtedly let the car achieve great speeds, as shown in that vid.

i have run mine on 3s with the stock motor/esc and gearing. it was doing better than 50mph for sure, and the motor was only getting warm. im sure i could gear it up to do over 60mph on the stock setup and 3s lipo.

the only thing in the vid that shocked me, was the KV of the motor. i didnt know they had 9000kv motors that could run on more than 2s.

if he gets the MPH up much more, he will need a custom body for some downforce!

same guy has another vid where the car flips in the air trying to do a speed run. the lipo and GPS fly out of the car, yet the car itself is fine!
