the parts are identical to the caldera 10E, so probably the performance is the same too.

i have 2 buddies that have caldera 10e's.
1 truck has only broken a stub axle.
the other truck(younger owner, hard on his truck) has broken a bumper and stripped 1 spur gear and he blew apart the tires(on 3s lipo)
they are pretty sturdy trucks. the SC adds a larger front bumper for added protection.

my buddies also upgraded the stock steering servos.
the stockers worked, but as with many RTR monster trucks a stronger higher torque servo is better.
www.hobbypartz.com has some for $12-$15 that are high torque and metal geared.

you can buy the caldera sc 10e with some spare parts for $195 shipped.

redcat also has some alloy upgrades. alloy shock towers, steering knuckles and hubs. those arent nessesary, but they are nice

I run one on my Tmaxx, which has pretty big tires on it, and Ive had no problems, its super strong, and very fast
