just got a new shockwave and during my breakin period I lost my steering and throttle control. I tried new batt. check for broken or loose wires. I have 6 v goin in and comin out of switchon the car. any help

make sure the crystals are in good on the receiver and transmitter, make sure thr plugs are in tight on the receiver, if all is good then most likely the receiver went bad, could be the transmitter too.

is there a way to test the transmitter or reciever

not really unless you have another receiver or transmitter that works on the same frequency, 27mhz.
