Default retrofit volcano s30 diff

I've done some research and I'm trying to retrofit my volcano s30 front and rear diff with something better. I have the hardened diff gears and they are still not holding up. I have already retrofitted a Traxxas 3.3 engine on this and it tearing up the gears more than ever. So, my question is does anybody know what differential may fit in the stock spot? I know there will be retrofitting and adapting to do but I'm willing to try

I would guess the aluminum differential housing with the upgraded steel gears form redcat would be sufficient to keep it going longer, but I never put a 3.3 in my volcano. Many performance upgrades, and I never burned through a steel gear. I would love to see if anyone had any other ideas on this one since I have a coupld of project s30' lying around myself.

the problem isn't with the housing. It's the material made with the gears and how they mesh together.

I believe you, but I never experienced the 3.3. in a Volcano. I just thought I would make sure you weren't using the standard replacement gear, and were using something more substantial. Good Luck.
