Unhappy Redcat Volcano EXP Grinding Noise

Hello. bought my first, new Hobby grade RC. Redcat Racing Volcano EXP brushless. As I write this, I have had it just about 24 hours. Right out of the box it is making a horrible grinding noise & will barely move. Did some searching & youtubing & I think it is the gear mesh. I have had it apart twice now & I got it to where it seems ok when I move the spur gear or wheels by hand. However when I put it on the floor, it still has the same symptoms. I made a short Youtube
. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I personally don't hear anything wrong. That sound (at least to me) sounds like normal cogging of the motor at very low speed.

If everything feels smooth when you are moving the drivetrain, without the spur/pinion gears engaging, I'd say you are good to go.

Well I had the trigger pulled all the way in the video. The battery was fully charged & I did program the ESC for LiPO. If that is the normal sound, then they should warn people.

If that is flat out something is wrong !
Things you could try .
Check voltage of battery with a voltmeter .
Check all motor wires are connected and also they are not kinked or damaged .
Throttle trim on transmitter .
Disengage the pinion from spur and see if it still happens .
Recalibrate transmitter .

Just so you are aware , in the video it seems you are trying to go very very slow ( just pulling the trigger ) .
This is the sort of sounds and jerky motion you get .
Makes me think it might be the trim or calibration.

I stand corrected...you have an issue . Wow. Full throttle huh?

Like seedygreenute said, transmitter trim or ESC calibration...possibly both.
If still having issues, call Redcat and explain everything to them.
