I know this is a later thread but the spray on adhesive works good and if you put a little vasaline on the finger tips you wont glue yourself together. Not to be a s. a though, just a old trick

Oh yeah, definately should be running some type of failsafe, the other night I was running through water mud etc. and then doing wheelies, reciver got wet. luckly my truck flipped on its side and I was able to flip it over.....the thing was wide open...the tires were about a inch wide and six inches tall full throttle.... very scary deal. Dried out the receiver a no problem. Heard of a trick to put the reciver in a balloon. next time for sure for safety.

I hope that tomorrow I can give the guys that are worried they bought the wrong truck a light at the end of the tunnel. I bought the himoto tornado. .27 truck not sure what to expect. Went through the ins and out of it and I replaced the throttle servo and tightened a few screws. the pullstart went out, of course, but I can under stand though because when I pull over my snowmobile or lawn mower it doesn't flip the thing over from the torque. I replaced the ripcord with shoelace that is the same diameter and haven't had a problem since. Although, I have broke a gear, and a one way bearing has gone out on the rotostart that I did as an upgrade.

I plan to put some vids on this site tomorrow. If anyone has a good way to post them that would be really good information. I am amazed how fast the tornado truck is compared to my traxxas 2.5 but is no match for the 4.3 I can barely keep the fron wheels on the ground =) I will try to get some video posted as I have not seen any yet.

Have a good nite............

Hi

When i had that problem it turned out to be way too lean... so
Just do what i did, choose a starting point and keep moving in one direction till u notice a big change and then it it's a bad change move the other way, i went lean first then rich and found the sweet spot...

Good luck, it takes alot of patience and time but once u have it, it's good!

Cheers

blackdog what wieght shock oil did you use? I replaced mine with 30-35 wieght oil and it has been like it's a totally new truck.

hey jcam, the bottle for the shock oil i used said 50 on the font so im guessing thats what it is, a friend of mine gave me the bottle and said this is what he uses on his T-Maxx....

hey guys, i was tinkering with my sons NEW BRIGHT monster truck cause the motor went out so i fixed it for him.. but then i had a thought i took off the tires that were on his and had this funny idea to mount them on my syclone, of course it was not functional when i put the tires on it but it was very funny and very cool looking, here's some pictures of my Syclone "PROJECT". hope you guys enjoy!!!! i call it the MONSTERCLONE!!!!

hey guys check out RC DRIVERS June issue page 52 it's a preview of HIMOTO 1/8 truck, should be made by same manufacturer as redcats!!

Darin you thinking what i'm thinking?

Lets super size it and get a strawberry shake too!!!!

The truck seems to have the same .27 motor as the big redcat buggy.

That is awesome looking. To bad you cant run it that way.Looks like the Barry Bonds of buggy's.All jacked up.I did something like that with my smartech buggy.Put my volcano tires on it.It wouldnt take off fast, but had good top end.I didnt keep it that way though, didnt want to mess anything up.

Over all it looks nice though......

hey guys, well i had my syclone out today and just before the 1st tank was done i broke the left front steering arm i tried to glue it but it just didnt want to work with me so, now its back on the self for the time being till i can get the replacement steerng arm for it.

now i checked topspeedtoys and their out of stock at the moment, i did also check redcat racing parts and they do have it but i dont know who to get it from?!

i also wanted to know if you all think it would be a good idea to find the aluminum version of the steering arm?
