engine temp?

I dont have a temp gauge for my volcano yet.Is there a way of telling the temp without one?I heard with a bead of water.Is that true?and how do I do it?I will get one soon,but for right now i'm in the dark.

put a drop of water on the top of the head, should evaporate slowly (a few seconds like 10) not sizzle and disapear 1,2,3. Water boils at 220 degrees so a fast sizzle would be way above this.

Ive got the truck tuned to where it will fish tail on take off,and almost
pull the front end up.The tires have never come off the ground,but they damn
sure act like they want too....The ass end will set down and get it....

I'm getting the Hurricane XP soon,and with the truck going as fast as it does.
I cant wait to see what that cane will do.Thanks for the advise and will richen up
tomorrow.The neighbors would just love me ripping up and down the street now.
I'm sure I would be the product of a 911 call lol....

Yeah speaking of engine noise, is there any way to queit these things down a tad? I'd like to run it around my neighborhood but I know the noise would drive people crazy. I always end up taking it up to the roof of a parking garage. I know i've seen silencers for nitro boat engines but do they make them for these things too?

I dont know about the silencer.I was thinking of maybe putting a little cotton in the pipe.

Yeah, I realize there'll be a little performance lost by putting a muffler on it but cotten would end up getting soaked with oil and maybe clogging things a bit.
