Hey everybody! I just became a member this morning. I ordered my brand spankin' new VOLCANO SV last night off an authorized ebay dealer. New-in-box for $195.94 ($19.99 s/h included)! I made him an offer and he even threw in a Nitro Starter Kit ($30 retail) at no cost, without additional s/h charges! I am absolutely psyched to get this baby!!! My friend has the 1/8 Hurricane buggy and sent me pix and totally turned me on to the Nitro scene instantly. I wanted a truck in order to get more ground clearance though. It seems that the buggies are better for tracks and smooth/flat surfaces, whereas the truck should be able to tackle anything in it's path. I had a really nice, professional hobby shop electric truck (Bearfoot) some 15 years ago, but I can't wait to get my hands on the Nitro Baby! I'm excited to get back into this hobby. I'll read more of these posts and get back at you when it arrives or if any questions come up.By the way, I have 2 kids - 7yr old daughter and 4yr old son, who let me relive my youth all over again! The coolest thing is, my wife didn't even complain or question my reasons for wanting to start-up this hobby again. She knows I'm still a kid at heart, plus it's my birthday present as I will be 33 next month. Not to mention the super deal I got on it! I showed her some of the $500 Traxxas' and other similar models. lol
