Default carb cleaner

Is it ok to use something like stp carb cleaner?I just want to clean my motor's.
I cant find the stuff that I had gotten from my lhs.I'm wanting to clean them tonight.
My lhs is closed now and isent open on wednesday.Thanks for any info....

carb cleaner is not good for the plastic, i would suggest denatured alcahol. it the same as the stuff you get from the hobbystore. put it in a spray container and spray it on. it dries fast and is usually not harmful to the electronics like carb cleaner. you can mix a little fantastic or simply green with it, like 2/3 alcahol and 1/3 fantastic.
