Looks great lets get the name out there so we can get more involved and that means more aftermarket parts as well.

I am curious to see just how do you keep track of that? RedCat obvius know how made the purchase but how would i know if someone was directly to your site from mine then made a purchase? I dont think i can ever find out... I will be able to keep track of the directed traffic but will never know if they made a purchase

No...I know you can do the backwards link thing and find out where people got linked to you. Friend of mine did that on his website...and Maddox refers to it all the time (if you don't know Maddox, Maddox is awesome)

Maybe.. Just Maybe... you can keep track if a purchase is made immediately after the buyer is directed from my site to your.. but what if he decide to wait and buy it the next day by going to your site directly?

The cookie doesnt't go on your computer. It goes on the persons computer that went to the redcat site.
Here's how it works (From my understanding anyways)
1. Joe Schmoe visits your site and clicks on your affiliate link.
2. Schmoe gets directed to a site which puts a cookie on his computer and then is automatically forwarded to the redcat racing site.
3. If within xx number of days Joe decides to buy a car off the redcat site the cookie on his computer tells redcat where he came from and the site owner is then credited.
It's a pretty simple system. Nothing all that fishy about it.
But like I said that's how I think it works. I could be wrong.

Well then I guess thats tough news for the people with the link on thier site.
No tracking or affiliate program is perfect. They all pretty much work in the same way.
This isn't an issue with only the redcat program but with most, if not every other, linking program.

NO website works this way. They let the buyer enter who they are referred from during check out and I will get a email when Joe complete the transaction.

Like I said it was just a guess on my part. If you really want to get down to the nitty gritty of it go to the site that's running the program. It's http://www.shareasale.com/
I looked through all thier Help and FAQ sections to see if I could find out exactly how it worked but they didn't have anything so I guess you could always just end up contacting the company through e-mail and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to explain it to you.
Edit: After looking a little more I found the faq that explains everything. http://www.shareasale.com/affiliatefaq.cfm#10
