My truck clutch spring just broke after only 3 tanks... I was able to recycle the old spring as described elsewhere on this forum by "crafting" a new hook from its broken end. I just completed reassembling the clutch but I unfortunatly end-up with an extra washer! And its not clear to me where it shoud go...

I think the assembly should be :

1 - shoes
2 - Bearing retaining clip
3 - washer
4 - bearing
5 - washer
6 - another (smaller) washer?
7 - clutch bell
8 - washer
9 - another (smaller) washer?
10- allen nut

I'm sorry. I am away right now and my wife isn't going to take a car apart. She just is doing my orders. I wont be back until next tuesday but I am sure you will have an answer by then. If I remember correctly without looking, I had 2 washers on top of clutch bell plus the little one.

you have it right except that between the allen nut and the bell there are three washers (big medium small allen-nut)

i did reply but it was knocked off by that spasm the forum had yesterday. diti is right

I guess my assembly instructions should be revised as per the following:

3 - large washer
4 - bearing
5 - large washer
6 - clutch bell
8 - large washer
9 - medium washer
10 - small washer
10- allen nut
