you can go to www.redcatracing.com and find it under replacement parts for 30 bucks. im sure that there is another online store that will sell it cheaper though.

i have a tiger drive on my .18 lrp in my buggy, but im sure that it would fot the stock motor too beacuse it has slots instead of holes so their pretty universal, and it works aweome its like 16 bucks at towerhobbies and u just need an allen wrench and a cordless drill to start it.

Default RE: pull start

I broke the pullstart on the Sav trying to start it with a few beers in me and a little to much fuel and after run oil in the cylinder...[&:]I have yet to break a Redcat pullstarter. Make sure you don't flood or overprime your engine and the cord is only 1 and 1/2' long so don't yank it like a lawnmower. If it's real hard to pull it's flooded. remove the glow plug and clear out the extra fuel. Be careful with the electric starters. They can be nice and easy but if you flood the engine you'll strip the oneway bearing in the starter or you can bend or break the connecting rod. OH!!!!!... and never drink and drive! You've been warned! LOL

The Traxxas EZ start has some kind of fail safe in it or it's just got a real weak engine, 'cause that thing won't let you crank it over, even when only mildly flooded...I've been so frustrated with that, I've thought about getting rid of it for a pull start or something...would get a Starter box for both cars, but can't get one in on the Stadium Maxx 'cause of all the under chassis bracing to raise it.
