Default I can't seen to find thread on this.

I notice alot of fuel all over motor and right rear of body. My dads is pretty clean. Just wondering if I have an air leak, because this is why I think I can't get my xp to idle very well. It runs like a champ, good temp and all. just can't get it to idle at rest. It is also pretty hard to start unless I Give it alittle trottle or pick it up. I think thats a sign of a spring breaking I know where to find that thread. But with the fuel all over my car can't seem to find anything on that one.

Thanks Greg OH yeah 9th tank of fuel no gear problems(knock on wood!!!!!!!!!) But my Clutchbell is out of round.

i've got the same problem. i have the team infinity engine and the carb is leaking at the throttle arm. if you have the same engine you may have the same problem. mine runs great just leaks a little fuel.

I had the same problem with my Infiniti in my Syclone, but it wasn't actually the fuel arm...The screws that hold the carb into the block don't clamp down on the carb, but rather are threaded into the carb...The easiest way to fix this is to seal it up with a little permatex around the threads and heads. I don't know if I did it wrong or used too much, but I had the stuff stiffened up inside the carb body restricting air flow. I ended up going with the 2 needle carb off the taiwan engine, and couldn't be happier...I just had to tap out those holes and put bigger set-screws.

I haven't had the chance to Run it yet...I put it in the car and started it on the bench and gave it a quicky tune...seems like it moves smoother through the power band and it came in a lot quicker...I only wanted to see how it would work and put everything together right...I took it back out and am tearing the rest of the car apart now...was my basic intention to tear it all down, seal things up and inspect things while I was at it...It's just coming along slowly due to time constraints.
