Hello everybody, I need a replacement engine for my volcano sv, and I was just wondering if anybody has any recomendations. I am looking for a simple swap(perferably direct fit, for less than $150), but I want a nice power gain without tearing up my gears every weekend. I heard that the O.S CVR-X .18(I think thats right)will work, but I am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance for your input.

O.S CVR-X .18
is about the best engine you'll find for a red cat.
all the good small block engines are rear exhaust port.
i'm trying to rig up my old HPI nitro star.25 off my savage on my tornado XP.
if i get it to work i'll post pics.

Thanks tat. I was just getting ready to reply to my own post to tell anybody who cared that I did buy the O.S .18 CV-RX, and all I had to do is put my old clutch assembley on it and put in in(minor grinding of motor mount to sit flush). I have not ran it though, I am waiting on a tuned exhaust kit to arrive.
