Default Tornado transmission

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their 2-speed Tornado transmission. I have already gone through 2 sets of gears. With the second one, I was extra-careful to make sure the gears meshed properly, but it still only lasted me about 5 or 6 tankfuls. Does anyone have any suggestions/ feedback ?

Thanks

Pyro, your clutchbell might be slightly out of round. The clutchbells that come with some of the cars, tornados included, do have a tendency to go out of round, some have even come from the factory out of round unfortunately. I would recommend to you to get a steel clutchbell from HPI, specifically the Heavy duty one for the HPI Savage. If you want to keep the stock acceleration and top end then you are going to need to get a 16 tooth clutchbell. If you want a little more top end (which is the way to go in my humble opinion ) then you might want to get either a 17 or even an 18 tooth cb.[>:]
