i just ordered my volcano sv and i am allready looking for a battey pack to go into the car. i know that it has to be a 6 volt hump pack but since i do not have the car yet i do not know what type of connecter to have on the battery pack. (also not sure of the exact size of the tray) i was also wondering if there are any battery packs for the radio. also could anybody recommend a good fail safe that will fit under the body, any help would be greatly apprecieated! And i would also like to say that this forum rocks! i have learned so much about my truck and i don't even have it yet! THANK YOU

nimh is better here is a receiver battery that will work our receivers will work with hitec connectors

and as far as failsafe they all will fit under the body i would go with a duratrax one but i would pick a throttle return spring over a failsafe because if your battery comes unhooked or something it means the failsafe wont work either b/c it is hooked to the battery but a throttle return spring works mechanically once you lose signal it shuts the carb so it dont get any gas and the car dies just make sure you get one that aint to strong for your throttle servo to handle

yeah but the thottle spring wont work if you get a glitch where the servo locks on wot anyway. I'd definately recommend a failsafe though. But its true though if you lose power to the failsafe itself, there'll be no power for the failsafe to work.
