You can try to double talk all you want, i have been in business for myself for 10+ years , i build in nyc and the 5 boro's, i have a degree in structural engineering and architecture. I have had them for many years, not since you mentioned it. Anyone here for a while will say that i have said the same thing for the last year. I dont put down redcats but i do tell the truth when it comes to them, a revo will overpower and outdrive any redcat made, you just dont like to hear it. i have said many times that they are a great, inexpensive begineer car but thats it. I have been on this thread for about a year now and help people all the time, you come in here and in a week try to take over and then you threaten me? I dont think so, i wont let you win, i dont like you, i think your a liar, you first said your cars were so expensive because you sell the starter kit, some fuel and an hour lesson, then all of a sudden you change all the bad parts, who's full of bs? Bro hopefully you do a decent business on your mobile shop because i am sure you would starve to death with your attitude on this forum. I really dont care how well your business does, i dont think it can do that well but what do i know? You can think what you want but time will tell.

You just don't get it, I don't like you either, your a bigmouth know nothing. I feel bad for you. All that is true we add in the fuel and the starter kit change the gears, check the radios, and start them in the shop once there bought, I never deviated from that. I never thought it was really any of your buisniess why they were so much more unless somone asked and you kept pushing the issue about the price. I like everyone on this forum, except you. You can think what you want, I realy don't care what you think, which isn't much I'm sure, that's fine. Go on with your sad self putting down every one who has adifferent opion or different experiance than you. You don't know what your talking about, the Revo is a nice truck, but it's not that nice even though we sell them, I think there an over priced rip off with crappy engines. I fell bad for you that you can't open yoru closed mind to the posibility that some thing could be different than what you think. Say what you want.

You dont seem to understan, i own 4 redcat products and 4 traxxas products including a tmaxx with a 3.3 and the volcano has no chance in keeping up with it. i have had enough of this with you. You explained yourself and got upset because i asked by our redcats were $100 more than everyone else, then you started coming up with the stories. I have no problem with anyone else's opinions only yours. get used to it.

Your right I did that's why I'm not responding to him. Just going let him say what he wants he can type till his fingers fall off I don't care. He don't like me because my opinion is different than his and I don't like him just because he has a big mouth.

i dont like you because your a liar, you came in here pushing your rip off website and then try to justify your high priced cars. then you say you dont want the internet business but you seem to post your site and about what you want to sell people on every post you make.

sorry nitro, your right, this place is for help not arguing. Look at tuned pipes before you buy, you want something that will make a difference for your money, not just look good.

going back to the original thread.....medium hot plug=Mccoy mc8 or mc9;odonnell 99; OS#8; Novarossi #5. Basically any plug thats numbered or rated as a medium heat plug. Some maybe medium cold and some medium hot as well. For an example, in the OS there's hot A3, medium #8, and cold A5 or very cold R5.
In terms of using 33% nitro, of course you get maximum power but at the possible cost of shorter engine life. I'd only recommend using that high nitro once you've already learnt how to properly tune & maintain an engine. You definately need to pay attention to your engine using that potent sort of fuel. Also most engines would require adding a shim to reduce the compression otherwise you again risk damage. And yes do not run in the engine on 33%. run it in on 20% and then re-tune it upto the 33%. Having said all that though, successfully running 33% would be really explosive power hey.
For me the best compromise is a high quality 25% nitro fuel where you get top performance and still retain engine life. Also nitro % isn't always a factor though. Good quality fuel ingredients go a long way to ensure the fuel is of the highest quality and this is quite often the difference between an average fuel and a high quaity fuel.
I suppose when it comes down to it, its a personal choice in the end.

IM pretty good at tuning, I had a nitro rustler before. But is 33% really that bad, you make it sound like its gonna kill my car. I was just planning on breaking in on traxxas 20% and then maybe after a gallon or so of that I would use my left over 33% fuel and just retune it to 33%. to be safe you just gota run rich. Traxxas fuel is high quality fuel so I reall y dont think its gonna do as much harm as you say it will, but maybe your right.I dont know. Maybe Im just readin wat you wrote wrong, but you make 33 sound bad. and im really good at cleaning tuning and maintaning a nitro car. I wanna know what everyone else thinks
thanks

no I didn;t say it would be bad its just that it can cause premature wear on the engine thats all. every engine is different and it may work really well with you. Don;t let me discourage you hey. Just letting you know that there are risks in high nitro thats all.

it may or it may not. its hard to tell hey. every engine is different and there's many things that can go wrong with any engine, so its almost impossible to tell how long an engine will last. Just don't run it too lean.

You definatlly want to richen it up, I have mine preaty rich to the point not only blue smoke is coming out, but abit of oil too. Just watch your head temp if your running it for along time, I've found that my temps are quite abit higher during longer running periods. It's great for those times when you want to drag race or ride wheelies for show. Also works the bomb for drifting gives you nice punches of power at the right time. People get pretty excited when they see a truck drifting.

sweet!
so do you run 33%??? and you think its safe? and you say you run it really rich, right, but do you still get a lot of power?

Ya, I do that's all I run when Drag racing or drifting, it take a minute to clear out the engine from idling when you first start it and set it on the ground. make a full throttle run real quick and it will be flying after that. I know I'm going to get flamed for saying this, because we all know that there's no way a Redcat can do this, but I can stand my Volcano Sv up on end and ride a wheelie with the 33% and all the power up grades. Although I'm sure your not going to pull your engine apart and port and polish it, but stock it will definitely tear up some dirt.
