Default engine life

Hey I was wondering how long the .18 engines from redcat usually last. How many gallons? I was on a forum talkin about how crappy trx engines are and I wanted to know how long I should expect my engine to last(if i take care of it right).

should last longer than any trx will. Just make sure you break it in with the heat cycle method.

yeah with a proper breakin cycle it should last just as long as any other engine. As long as you treat it with care.

It also helps to run a good quality fuel, with around 10-12% oil content.

I read it and he said "For proper engine break-in, run your engine for three minutes and a total of five times, letting the engine cool between runs. what? either thats a typo or im dumb...i prefer answer 1. thanks

you run it for 3 minutes, shut it down, let it cool with the piston at bottom dead center. You do that 5 times.
