RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
is there a reason y my vx .18 doesnt rev like the motors in the avalanch? i have it tuned right but it sounds like red line is so much less than the .28 even in the review for the tornado it sounds like its only reving out to like mabey 30,000. does the .18sh rev higher?

Ya it sounds differnt, It might be the fact that the sh is set up differnt though. Like it has a little header and all, and the pipe is alot bigger so everything sounds a little differnt and deaper. It does not sounds like it is using as much rmps as the tornado, but i dunno if it is or not.

Maybe you should change it to a single speed trany. That is what i did to my tornado and it works alot better. It goes alot faster to. I think the single speed is better if your just playing around in dirt and all, and the two speed is if you are really like racing someone. changing it is easy. what kind of car do you have?

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
yeah i was thinking about buying the one speed trans cause im gonna be racing in may and im not gonna be able to get out of first and one the one speed tranny the ratio is a little closer than first gear on the 2 speed. mine never shifts anyway even tho everything is set right. i also bent the trans. shaft because i striped the alen screw on drive shaft coupler so i bet that is creating some drag even though i bent it back pretty strait but not perfect. i just want to go race and not be destroyed by everyone and the vx doesnt seem like it will keep up. any fairly cheap recomendations?

I am not sure man, Ya i was talking to you. I have the Tornado BB too and I have problems like that with it too, They are real little and things are going to break on them, I would say get the single speed because it is alot better i could see the differnce. Mine kept getting stuck between gears too. What you should do when you can is get a 1/8th you will be shocked on how much bigger and stronger it is man, The way i drive my avalanche is crazy and nothing happens if i did that with the tornado i would be buying so much parts lol. but i like the tornado too there fast and fun.

yeah i like theyre 1/8 buggys. it looks like they pay more atention to them and not as much to the 1/10 models. i want to buy one but i cant get 300+ dollars cause im only 15. but the pro 1/8 buggy they have is really nice in the grey and black. i forget the name of it

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
vYa i understand what you mean they do cost alot of money, but in the end if you could save up and get one it would be cheaper.considering the parts you will have to get for the smaller one. I like my 1/10th and all but the 1/8th is so much funner and stronger. you would be amazed on how much stronger it is. But i am sure you can fix that Tornado up nice too. I am about to get off man so i will write you back tomorrow or send you my number if i can help you any on your car. later man,.
