Yes and keep an eye on it because you have to judge it every time out as to how much to wrap...........I've seen it done but I haven't done it myself[&o]

is there a tomp thats way too cold? It gets to about -40c here in the winter sometimes lol. I dont even go out when its that cold. The coldest that I would go out with it is -15c or so. The only reason I want to drive it in the winter is because the winter is 8 months long here so thats a long time to wait

As far as the temp being to cold it should be pretty easy to tell because it takes heat to keep the glow plug ignited.........if it gurgles a little its probably to cold[]

ehroof, i'm completely lost after what you said I need for my 13-18 tooth clutchbell. why do I need to extend the shaft out?how the heck would I do that anyway? Can you give me links to the parts you would use to change to my 13-18 hpi clutchbell? including this thing you called a tension pin? sorry..just new to this stuff. i thought i had the change figured out tell you wrote that about what I needed.by the way, are the 5*10 bearings they made me get any good for anything on my tsunami?

they may work on the wheel hubs,

you need to get 3- 5x8 bearings: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...5x8x2.5/Detail

and a tension pin, 3/16: http://www.ondrives.com/products.asp?recnumber=330 it looks like this, you will have to cut it down to about a 1/4 inch, then put the screw that holds the clutch bell thru it and screw it onto the pilot shaft. its really not that hard, you will need a washer a little larger than the opening on the clutch bell to keep it in place then use one of the smaller stock washers. you can get a tension pin from a hardware store or home depot.

1 time in the last 50 years it got to 24 degrees F it very seldom gets to 32 F where I am and if it does its for a few hours in the morning In 1964 when I went to Oregon to make my fortune trying to get back from the worst floods in the west at the time we passed through a place called 4 corners and it was a wind chill of 61 f below. Thats the last time I went any where close to something like that[:'(]

You dont really need the tension pin. My son has almost 1 gallon on his with the 13/18 and no wear what so ever on the gears. Im not hte only one that has been running it like this. Just install the 3 bearings with the small washers and end screw. You will then just slide the bell onto the bearings adn you are done. Once the motor is in the truck and tight the bell will not come off. It will have some movement from front to back but with the rotation of the engine while running it pulls the bell in to the engine. With 1 gallon run through and no wear I think its all good.

I put the os cvrx 18 im my tsunami with a 13 tooth hpi clutch bell and i used the 47 tooth gear form the two speed to make it into a single speed. I cant believe how much power this thing has it blew me away. I can even get the front wheels to come off the ground.

Ehroof can you get me the part munber of the 13 tooth clutch bell that you use?

run some med/hard foam since the gladiators are soft compound. i run the single speed setup from clermont in my tsunami, i am very happy with it, much better. http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...iff-kit/Detail

So do you like the single speed better than the 13/18 upgrade?

yea, it more reliable and just better for off road, all my off roads except the jato and tmaxx are single speed. the only time they ever hit second gear is if they are on road, off road 2nd gear is never used. all my onroad's are 2 speed

oh yea and does the single speed have similar gearing to the first gear on mine using the 13/18 and the stock spur gears? with those stampede tires n wheels first gear is just fine, dont need second anyway, but it cant be any taller gearing than first gear is now

thats the single speed that i have but its not going to work i cant move my engine to the left far enough to get the gears to mesh and my clutch bell is too short to reach to the center ot the single speed tranny. I already had to shave some plastic away to get the gears to mesh and im using the 47 tooth spur gear right now from the two speed with the spur gear all the way to the back of the tranny. I think i got the os engine with the short crank. can you get a longer crank extention? I have the os max cvr i dont think its the cvrx.

whats wrong with an engine if it will rev to no end with the wheels off the ground but when its on the ground it hardly revs up. i can only get about ten mph out of mine on the ground. as soon as there is no load on the engine it revs great
