You need fuel, Glow starter and batteries for the remote and reciever in the car. You can go to your local Hobby store ( not hobby lobby) and you can buy a glow starter w/charger, fuel and rechargable battery pack for the car and rechargables for the controler or go to walmart and get 12 AA Batteries for the Controler and Reciever.

You can use, Odonells, Traxxas Top Fuel, sidewinder or any Nitro Car fuel. Yes 20% would be what you want.

I'd also recommend as absolute must buys that you get yourself a failsafe as well as an inline fuel filter. absolutely indespensible items!

You should just rely on a throttle return spring. The servo can still get locked into the WOT position and a spring is still not going to be able to budge it.

yeah hair bands work well hey. Sorry in regards to the throttle spring I meant to say NOT to rely on it solely. Even if the servo poos itself it can get jammed in the WOT postion and no matter what spring you have, its not going to budge. Thats why I would recommend a failsafe unit just to limit the chances of that happening.

ok. in the instrution manual it says this.

Additional Items Needed For Running Your Model

these are the items:transmitter, battery case, servo, receiver, charger, batteries, glow plug igniter, fuel pump, and fuel,

wat do i need to buy in manual except for batteries, glow plug igniter, fuel pump, and fuel?

also i'm assuming the charger is for the igniter.

thank you for your help

Where did you order it from?

I ask because my manual says the same, yet where I purchased it from on eBay it came with everything except for:

Fuel
Batteries

That was all I needed to get running.

It had a basic starter kit, which included:

Glow plug igniter
Glow plug igniter charger
Fuel pump
Small hand tools
Multi-wrench
