A glow plug igniter came with my Tornado BB in the starter kit and I was wondering if the yellow battery on the top could be replaced with a C or D battery so I don't have to charge it constantly.

I believe it can be, I cut the plastic around mine when I bought a new one ... try it and see.

I bought a metered one, that way I know when the darn thing is dead.

Where did you get a metered one from?

My LHS, most should have one ... since I had the A/C charger plug they only charged me for the glow igniter and battery inside ($10).
