Hey man, I read yesterday on one of your posts to use the Traxxas 4146x spring. I went and bought one and it came with shoes. Then I read that you said not to use the shoes that come with it. Will they not work? and if not what do you recommend? Thanks man. Arlin.

Hope u don't mind me answering, I asked the same question.
They're too small ... they will not fit around the flywheel area correctly.
HPI A885 are good teflon shoes, adjustable stall rate.
HPI A886 what I have, are good teflon shoes and eliminate the spring all together with tension clips.

i use the stock shoes that come with the redcats, aluminum shoes are pretty good, they just need some maintaince, like sanding down the shard edges once in a while.

Thanks ehroof for saving me again! I'm just gonna use the shoes that came with it like you said.
