Default Help with bell and spur :( :(

I have a Hurricane XP pro and the clutch bell and spur just trash each other. I had it runing with no isuues then this.
I was wondering if anyone knows what parts from like hpi, towerhobbies or any other name brand buggy would fit.

The hurricane has a good setup. Just make sure you mesh is correct.

Yeah the mesh was correct I use the paper trick to check the mesh and it was good.
I just wanted to know what would be a direct replacement for the bell and spur that would be available at the LHS

This is odd to me becasue like dude said, the steel clutch bell and metel spur gear for the Hurricane is the sh*t. When u mesh, just make sure you can hold the spur gear down, u should be able to jiggle the clutch bell around a ok amount. Id say a couple milimeters jiggling

Make sure your engine is in straight. You shouldn't be trashing anything on this setup, unless yoru doing something wrong.

Like I said its been working fine for the last 11 months. Never had a problem. The mesh was perfect.
I check it by using a piece of paper between the bell and spur it crease the paper but never rip or break the paper.

I'm not sure what you mean buy holding the spur gear down.

If you mean hold the spur and gently move the bell it should not be tight against the spur gear, but be able to move a little some what.
if thats what you mean then I was able to do that.

11 months is a long time for a clutch and spur gear to last, how much have you used it? Just get a new one, its really no big deal. if it was like a week its one thing but you have had it like a year.

Thanks ehroof.

I did not use it during the really really cold winter months but I guess almost a year is a pretty long time

Yeah thats where I was when my buggy broke. I go there every weekend and on my days off and people are always there.

I have a baja 5b but that track is too small for the baja LOL.
I gave up on nitro last year I sold a hyper 7 almost brand new, a mammoth st and my full hopped up MGT
But know I find myself getting back into nitro because its so much fun, hanging out with the guys, racing and trash talking.
