It's not a crack in the engine, it's a crack in your stock clutch bell. You need a new clutch bell. I would suggest a steel clutch bell an HPI 16 or 17 tooth and a traxxas spring set 4146 or 4146XX.

well you see, you had this little scratch in your paint, so it through off all the airodynamic proporties and put too much stress on the part. it had nothing to do with the clutch bell being low strength metal. lol im bored. i go with him. get a full steel clutchbell.

Oh ya your right, I didn't look close enough. Sorry. In that case you need a 2 speed clutch bell setup, in any case you need a new clutch bell.

Thanks, that certainly adds up. I will have to save up for 2 weeks of mowing so it may be two weeks until i get it fixed. I also have the 2 speed screw fall out so now its 1 speed again and its only 2wd because of the other grub screw.

yeah i got them, thank you very much i put one on the other day. The only problem is that the engine screws keep coming loose and now it will slide away from the transmision so the tires wont spin. I may have to put lock tight or something on the screws. Yesterday it ran once and then it wouldn't start afterwards. I have a D battery ignitor and it runs through a battery each day. I'm trying to find rechargable D batteries but my dad said that he has a charger that will work on regular batteries but he has to find it. I will prob. look over the weekend for it.
