Will this Duratrax starter box from Tower hobbies work with the Tornado?
What starter box do you folks use?

If not a starter bos, what can you tell me about this item?

Do you remove the pull starter and attach some sort of gear to the back of the engine?

You want a rotostarter, starter boxes are bulky and dont fit in your back pocket like a rotostart.
I got mine from this guy on ebay [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/Power-Battery-Starter-for-RC-Cars-Trucks-4X4-COMPLETE_W0QQitemZ170090342916QQihZ007QQcategoryZ3 4063QQcmdZViewItem]click here[/link]
Thats a complete kit with backplate that replaces the pullstart and a 7.2volt battery and charger... if you already have a 7.2 volt charger and battery check his store as he sells just the starter and backplate only also.
I am still waiting for my stuff to arrive form him but he has cutthroat prices and excellent service.

Thanks,
I'll check it out.
It seems like most people prefer to use starter boxes. I already have the tower hobbies 12v sealed battery and the charger (used them for an electric starter for my planes) so all I'd need is the box itself. What style do you guys use?

Well I ended up buying a starter box instead. I was done with yanking that pull start, so I decided to go big.
I got the Ofna 1/10 "true-start" universal box.
I still have a problem though.
Either the flywheel hole in the chassis is too small, or the flywheel doesn't stick down far enough. The rubber wheel on the starter box just barely touches the flywheel, but it makes contact with the sides of the chassis at the same time. What can I do? I can't see cutting the chassis, so my only other option is to use a smaller rubber wheel on the starter box. Has anyone else had this problem??

myt ofna just fits but barely, you will need to open the chassis a little, if i go to using the box i will have to open it a little just to make it easy, or the smaller wheel, lol.

I took my leatherman wave and filed down the edges of the flywheel opening in the chassis. I only took a little bit off, bascially just filed the corner of the opening flat to the the wheel enter the opening just a little more. Works like a champ now, no rubbing at all, but it is a very tight fit.
