I have this glow plug starter I got with my truck and it has a ni-cad batterry and plug to charge it. How long do i charge it for? Also. how long do you leave it on the glow plug to start the machine?

charge for at least 18 hours, leave it on as long as it takes to start the engine, wait a few seconds then take off

So, I leave it in while pulling? Doesn't seem like a very tight fit for pulling.
