Default What Plug for .28

I went to hobby haven the other day and decide to get a little hotter glowplug as my engine seemed to be bogging down off the line but when i left the igniter on it took of like a rocket! I was using a O.S. No.8. Two questions, what is everyone else using and what do i need to look for as signs of preignition? I ran my hurricane pretty hard and it seemed to run great to me but I just want to make sure.

Oh wait, I was using the junk plug that came with the car. I am now using a No. 8 and the performance boost is exeption, along with the byron race fuel and the fact that it was way lean it actually hit a rock and wheelied a little!

Do you use both the short & long plugs in the same engine or did I read that wrong? Thats gonna affect performace dramatically isn't since it changes the compression? I tried that with my Infinity .27 going from an OS to a Mccoy and I almost blew up my engine from the increased compression! LOL oh well live 'n learn...

What? the OS & Mccoys? No? I use both OS#8,A5 & R5 as well as the McCoy mc8 & mc9. They are definately not the same size if thats what you meant. The McCoys are about 1-2mm longer.
