Default Thinking of buying an Avalanche

I was looking to get an Avalanche as a nice step up from the Tornado BB. I have a question though. Ever since i had the first problem with the BB, they just haven't stopped and one thing would happen after another, mostly because of the gears stripping. Is the Avalanche more reliable than the BB? I don't want to drive it for a week and then have to replace servos or gears. Any help would be awesome! I am thinking about buying it but also thinking about buying a tmaxx 3.3. Do they even compare? which would be the better bang for my buck?

avalanche over the traxxas for sure. being its 1/8 scale (avalanche) less parts break, and thats a BIG plus!

You still will have to replace the steering servo to be honest. Even with some name brand cars and trucks the steering servo's dont hold up. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I have an Avalanche and it''s awesome fun, Once you get it broken in it really fly's along. Also it's very durable and seems to withstand a lot more than my friends 1/10th.

You can grab one of Ebay for under $300 shipped.

You may also consider the Monsoon! I got mine off ebay for $279..... All parts for Inferno ST's will fit! The Avalanche is identical to the Monsoon with very few exceptions(gear ratio, 23mm hubs, etc) so Kyosho parts will fit it as well!

Either way, both are very nice trucks!
