Default Just changed Diff fluids in Monsoon

Just changed my diff fluids out in my monsoon. Put in 5k, 7k ,3k in it. Ran it around my yard for just a couple of minutes to check if I put everything together correctly and I did see a noticeable difference but it id seem like the front wheels wanted to unload. I did notice that when accelerating from a sharp turn it was pulling the front wheels off of the ground in my yard! No more fishtailing. Will let you guys know late tomorrow night how it runs after I get back from the track.

if you want the front to grab more put 10 in the center, 7 in the front and 3 in the rear.

I will have to try that if it does not run to good at the track. I think it is going to run alot better than it did. I have never changed out the diff fluids and my rc cars before so this was my first time and only did it because I had to replace my ring gear on my front diff so I did all 3. Boy I tell you your arm gets a working unscrewing and screwing the truck back together. Just seems like alot of work for some fine tuning. I never thought it could make that much of a difference.

You run what you want it is your ride and you are the one who has to drive it!!!!! I know that I like more bite in the rear and I run the diff oils the way I like ,and make sure you change the oil and much as you can to keep the gears nice and clean and to change the weight's around you will feel the diffrence and see it in you car as soon as you put on the track . That's what I am into is making little adjustments and seeing how if affects the car. So you do what you want and then you can learn from you trying diffrent things

I never saw a link on how to do it but the only part that is a pain is removing the diffs from the car. Once you get the diffs out it is only 4 screws you remove, clean out the diffs and replace the fluid with the weight you want. The diffs are inside the housings you see on your car. On the top of the redcat forums page there is a topic about diff fluids and how they work but not how to change them.

Well I just got back from the track and all I can say is WOOOOOW!!!!! I have never done anything to any of my buggies or truggies I have ever owned yet that made such a difference as what I did to it now. As you know I changed the diff fluids to 3, 7, 5 and put on a set of proline crimefighters off of my manitis I have. The only other change I made tonight was adjusted my trims a little and my spektrum 590 broke after ramming my buddies 8ight-t when he spun on the straight so I put in a spare jr 650 servo. I was running with 2 8ight-t's, a hellfire, and lst2 and spanked them all night long. This monsoon corners like it is on rails now and the traction is amazing compared to before. It used to slide around alot and get alot of wheelspin and did not have a whole lot of front traction as it would fishtale alot like a 2wd. It also does not wind out as much on the straights almost like the gearing was changed some on it. I guess since I am getting good traction and rpms do not spin up as fast so it is way easier to control with the 10 tooth clutch bell. If any of you out there have any stock monsoons you are running you HAVE to do what I just did to this truggy and it will BLOW YOU MIND!!!
