use the engine replacement program to get the sh.18, it will cost you alot less: http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...tno=sh18engine
or for more power but more money you can get the os .18 cvrx: http://www.clermontmotorsports.com/s...lue-11j/Detail
the 2 are direct fits, i have them both, i am very happy with the sh.18 in my volcano

I would go with the replacement program the OS isn't all that much better that's it's worth spending the extra buck. It's alot of hype and brain washing for the most part.

The folks directing you to the OS motors are correct.
OS usually makes 3 port engines. They are easy to tune, and are less sensitive to humididty, elevation, barometric change, and hold a tune.
OS offers a good warranty.
OS uses stong materials. Their directive is to make a quality engine with accpetable performance. They use good alloys, good processes, and beef up parts where necessary.
OS has been in the nitro industry since 1936. They have experience in what they do, and use the experience to make good quality motors.
Did I mention the warranty?

i agree 100% supra, they are a great engine but for the money, he may as well get the sh.18 since redcat has an engine warranty and will give you another engine 50% off list. it would be less than $50 for the sh .18.
yeah, os has i think a 2 year warranty.

He's rigth it's a decent motor, but if you have the chance to get a good motor, that's dependable and get it at or below a dealer cost by trading it for the old one and still have a warrenty why not do it. That's all I'm saying.
