Default flooding

I just got my shockwave and did the break in but now it seems it is just flooding it self out somtimes it will start and idle but when I give it gas it dies can someone help

lean out the top end first. Thats the taller brass needle.

I agree. Most cars are set rich from the factory and you have to lean them out after break in. Some cars you have to lean out DURING and not after the break or it will do what yours is doing. Lean it out (turn the screw clockwise) a small amount at a time like a 1/8th at a time. Small adjustments do can do alot,

ok got it running good but now when i hit the brake it kills it what can this be

When it is idling is the car moving forward or sitting still. If it is sitting still and not moving then try raising your idle. Same as before, little adjustments do alot. Raise it by turning clockwise on the real small screw right by the car on the body of the engine.

I should be a real small flathead either gray and right next to the carb but on screwing into the case of the motor and not the carb or it would be a small black screw with a spring under it in the same spot as I just said. You should only have 3 adjustment screws, the one you just adjusted to get the car running, one on actual slide of the carb that move in and out when you give it gas and the one where I just said.

Actually I may be wrong on your car. I just looked at my lightning and the idle screw for that is sticking out of the carb. It is black. See if you have that. I am used the 1/8th engines but you should have the same as on my lightning.

what is the factory setting on the carb screw?

I do not think there is a factory setting on the idle screw. I may be wrong though, of all the car I have had I have not seen one for that screw.
