i know bro, i was just kidding, honestly, get the volcano sv, its not that much $, its good for offroad, grass and jumping. The avalanche is great, its huge, very powerful but its also over $300. You can get a volcano cheaper, less than $200 if you look hard enough shipped. You can upgrade the engine later on to an os for around $100. its really a nice rig.

RE: Volcano SV review?
Yeah. I really wanted the best because I was going to ask for it for christmas. I have thought of everything. My next thought is the hurricane because I do mostly bashing in grass. I can drive my EStampede on the track I built.
I really like driving and grass and jumps and am obsessed with power (like most people). I thought since the hurricane is geared a little taller it would be better. I am easy on the throttle if it's super powerful and I know I won't be able to handle it. And when I'm able to drive it I will go up. That's what I did with the CT5 and my only other car was a stock stampede XL1. Huge difference. But now I can drive it fine.

If your driving in the grass allot, then you may want something with more height like any of the trucks or truggies. Not saying the hurricane won't make it through all of that, but the extra height works. Like mentioned before start off with the Volcano, if you are worried about the width of an RC. The volcano is a great truck and can move through many different terrains with ease.

Ehroof, I am pretty good at driving cars/trucks that are way too overpowered. I was thinking that by christmas the new CB's should be out and if I think the monsoon is too much than I'll get a CB.

Would you say that a Tsunami with the single speed is the same speed as a volcano sv? On the 2 speed kit for the volcano, do you know how many teeth are on the CB gears?

The Tsunami with the single speed is faster than the volcano with the stock trany. The stock cb has 16t but I would change to a 14t gives you much better low end.

Does the tuned pipe for the volcano make a difference. Is it in low end or top end? I like the hurricane because it's fast and powerful but I like the volcano because it's good for the track that I built and has the ground clearance I'm looking for. Would the volcano seem slow in top end in a big grass field?

The tuned pipe that we offer is for top end. It would help your volcano on top end. As far as grass goes single speed is the best way to go. Grass seems to put a lot of stress on the engine because of all of the drag unless you run in short grass.

The grass is short but I'm asking if the top end will seem slow in a big open grass area? Ehroof, I know you've done this
Is the top end pipe going to change the low end?

in regular lawn grass, its fine no matter what you do, once you hit taller grass, with any 1/10 your going to run into problems no matter what you do.
You will loose a little low end but what you do is put a smaller clutch bell this way it makes up for it.
