Default Engine replacement program

Ive had my tsunami for a while with the stock VX .18 engine and i think im about ready to upgrade. Ive heard of putting a .21 motor in a volcano before and was wondering if redcat has those motors. And also if i traded in the .18 motor, would i still get like half price for a .21 motor , or just the other .18 motors. And thats just a thought. I would only put in a .21 if it took little modifactions, if its a big deal then i'll get an O.S .18.

by the way how much is an OS .18 if you trade your old VX .18?

they dont sell the os .18, they have the sh .18, it would be less than $45 if you trade in our engine on the sh .18, the os costs about $110

the big block can be alot of work, you need to drill new holes in the chassis and in the engine mounts. rc danny did it on the forum and i have seen it, its a real wheelie king but i know he put alot of time into it.

Well drilling holes shouldnt be that big of deal i dont think. Only thing i would be worried about, if it will be to powerfull for the trans?? would it maybe strip the plastic gears out?? acually i think today i mighta stripped one of the alluminum gears in the crappy single speed i got in my tsunami. The setup i took off my exceed infinity truck. I'm about to pull it off and have a look at it in a minute. it keeps locking up. Might be something stuck in one of the groves but from what i saw the alluminum gear looked terrible. about the motor, im leaning toward the SH, might look into that soon

you have to tame the slipper down alot in order for it to keep gears when running a big block engine. the big blocks really need steel gears, thats why most 1/8ths have steel spur gears

pick up this header too if you upgrade or even if you keep the vx, gives much better power and same as the hpi or traxxas header only less than 1/2 the price http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...?partno=02031a
