The threaded area is not actually part of the cooling head as to say its not all one piece. If you take the screws out that connect the cooling head to the engine block, you can remove the button between the cooling head and engine block. You can now get a better look at the threads to see if they are stripped. If they are you replace the button. Be sure not the loose the shims between the button and the engine block. When you reassemble your engine make sure to use a little thread lock. (high temp. thread lock. Hope this helps.

Wait a minute. The vx18 doesn't have a glow plug button, it's all one piece, ya need the whole cooling head if you strip out the glow plug hole. If that's the case shoota drop me a line and I'll send ya one of the extra cooling heads I have laying around, no need to pay for shipping either, ya can just have it.

No not at all tough. Not trying to one up you at all. I deal with shoota alot so I saw his post and let him know I could help him out again. Not trying to drum up anything. He's a good guy and I've helped him out before.
