Default Hey RCLYNX Got a question for you

Hey I think it was you that was talking about modding the Monsoon and Earthquake to move the motor forward and put a normal clutchbell on it. Was that you? If so what exactally did you do to make this mod work. If I remember I think you said you dremaled or machined out the motor mount slots so you can move the whole motor mount forward or was it that you changed motor mounts to style that will let you move the motor back and forth in the slots, like on a Ofna or the Team VTX?

Wasn't me and I would never dremmel out a frame........I have mod engine mounts and a clutch system for a big block in the 1/10 single speed Redcats, only reason I haven't made it public is because I haven't got the exhaust system exactly the way I want it[:-] sorry can't help you with the other[:@] besides that there are couple of universal mounts that would probably work in those[:-]

I could have swore you had some mod where you can move the engine forward to use a normal clutch bell. I guess I'll just go with the Team VTX motor mounts and slide the engine forward in those. Once they're bolted up should be enough room to slide the whole motor forward with a 12 or 13 tooth clutch bell. Anyway, thanks.

Ya that's kind of what i figured. But I'm not busting out a dremal, lol. It needs to be perfect neat, so gonna have to strip it down and throw it on the mill. But that's cool thanks eric.
