Hi guys i just wanted to get your opinion on something, using most of the forum i was actually able to get my volcano stx up and running, Its pretty cold here maybe 35, now that i have the idle set, when i try to take off and get it mid speed to high speed, the car shuts off, and on the pinch test no matter which way i go lean or rich i cant get to engine to only rev a little it doesnt rev at all. Once i got the engine running pretty decent on the low speed and then when you would go into high speed it would die, ive been trying to figure this out for quite some time and these forums have been great help, on alotta things. Now in my situation i cant get it right, it will idle fine, just when i go to drive it outta of low speed range it kills itself.. Any ideas would help tremendously, im trying not to get frustrated with this thing.

Its too lean. If it takes off well and then just dies, its lean, you need to fatten the needle up, especially in 35 degree weather which is VERY dense air not helping the problem. Richen the high speed, dont even worry about the low speed or the pinch test, once you get it so it will not die when it starts going fast, then bring it in and do the pinch test and get it so it cuts off in about 2 seconds.
remember to turn the needle in 1/8th degree increments or LESS. A little turn goes along way with a vertex small block.
Im on my fourth Redcat with the Vertex mill and everyone of them acted that way.
