Default Redcat Brushless system setup help

Ok, so i have had my R.R. bl setup for sometime now, installed on my rusty, i know the specs for the motor are 9.6v-18v[X(], i have been running it 7.2v-8v, my question is, i want to wire two 7.2v packs to get 14.4v, if the motor can take it, will the esc be able to handle 14.4v? i have no info whatsoever on the esc, i know maybe the weight of 12 cells maybe to much, but i would like some input on the esc's capabilities.

someone said they tried a 3s LiPo and it worked fine. I imagine that it would perform similar to 12 cells.

[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=6857141]Here[/link] is the link. The 3s LiPo used didn't seem to give many Amps so I'm not sure how a higher amp batt will do.

So i finally decided to test my bl system on my rusty, i strapped to maxamps 7.2v 4.4mah batt packs on the rusty, that's 14.4v[X(], and we clocked it before we ran out of room at 53mph, pretty sure with more room and a 76t spur and 32t pinion i can get to mid 60's, i was running 86t spur and a 23t pinion, i will try to get a video with a good speed pass., so far i love this system
