Default Hmmm....

So i just got the electric starter for my nitro from redcat racing. However it does not fit my motor. My nitro has this engine- Engine GO Taiwan 18CXP (.18 Size) it is not a redcat nitro but i thought it was the same, all the other parts i have bought for it from redcat have fit it. This is the starter i bought http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...?partno=70111t . Will this not fit or did they just send me the wrong thing? The papers in the box say it will fit a .16 and .18 VX engine but it looks huge. The one-way bearing on my engine is even to small. I see mine says CXP but it is Taiwan so i thought it was the same. Anyways if this is the wrong one does anyone know of a roto start that will fit the engine i have?

Thanks,
Lee

Anyone who has the SH.18 will you measure your bolt pattern on your pull start for me? Also what size is the one-way bearing. In inches would be great.

Thanks again

I was just looking at the sullivan tiger drive system and am kind of confused. Does it replace the one-way nut bearing that i have now? It looks like they just attach to the little shaft. Is that correct? Also i measured my pull start and the screw pattern is 1inch. The one-way bearing is a 1/2 inch nut. How can i tell what mm the shaft is? I dont have a way to measure mm. And for the bolt pattern and a 6mm shaft i think this one will work. Let me know if i am wrong. The sullivan website it fits a wide varity of engines.

You have to remove the back plate on the motor, you put the silver back plate from the kit on, then the gears for the tiger drive, then the blue cover goes on last.

You remove the pullstart assembly then you attach the tiger drive plate to the engine back plate. Then you put the blue cover on, which will replace the pull start assembly. http://www.sullivanproducts.com/tigerdrivecontent.htm

oh ok, i thought you were saying to take off the silver backplate that is on the engine. i know how to put them on. but does the tiger drive have a one-way bearing already built into the gear?

it should work but you may need to open the flywheel opening a little.
