Default Tornado EPX Problems?

Was looking at getting a Tornado EPX, but after looking at the pictures of the car, starting to get some concerns about it. It appears the electric motor has slots in the case. If your racing in the dirt, wouldn't this trash the motor pretty quickly?

If its a concern then just put a piece of tape over the holes while your driving in the dirt.

Was researching what I was going to buy next. Just didn't want to plunk down some cash on a car that wouldn't last a day. Thanks for the info.

you cant get them wet unless you oil the bearings in the motor or you will ruin the bearings.
