cant wait to see the prices clermont and aaf come up with....thinking about buying another cane so I can run in the 1/8th late model class at the track nearby...(im out in the sticks..nearby is 80 miles away...lol)...havent ran my cane next to high end cars.. but from just watching I think simuliar performance with the 28sh...if anything I think it will get out of the whole and corners a lil faster....we will see what happens...but already got the racing bug..lol

just wondering if i bought a RTM 1/10 Volcano what i would have to put into it to get it running . Motor, Servos, Receiver, and what else? I was just thinking i could swap out the electronics and the motor out of my exceed buggy and run a Volcano very cheap.

You will need the engine, receiver, servos (2), transmitter and I think that's it.

And if you compare the prices to other brands you realize how great of a deal it really is.

However, lowering the price couldn't hurt

Don't know if you saw the cen buggy kit but that's $500 and it of course being a kit, doesn't have the electronics/engine either.

Do these include the engine mounts, exhaust mount, linkage for the servos, and servo hornes. What I am trying to get at is that do you only need the engine, exhaust and servos?

Also will the tsunami ultra wide be available?

I think all of that is included. but when they come in i will post the exact stuff included and needed. If the rtm models that we currently offer do good then i would say yes that the tsunami ultra wide would be available.

Instead of putting high end stuff into the cars what if we carried high end stuff so that when you place the order you can order everything that you need. That way you could maybe pick from 3 or so small block engines, a few radios, servos. things like that. if we put high end stuff into them already then you have no option. most people are more picky when it comes to high end performance mods. Every one knows that rtr don't come with top quality stuff. I just think that it would be better to offer a few options instead. of just one choice. you never know maybe we could work out a package deal. the more suggestions that you give us the better we will become.

It's a pretty good deal for what you're getting. Look at some of the other brands, you can get a kit or RMT (almost ready to run) for MORE MONEY than the RTR. Redcats got quite a good deal going here. I think they'll be successful with the RTM models!

RTM also = ARR... race rollers...

Think of the 1/8 scale nitros as... Ready to convert to brushless

As far as general requirements for Rolling chassis... they need a radio with 2 servos (horns normally come with radio/servos), engine and exhaust. Sometimes they come w/o tires but come with wheels so you can pick your own treads to suit your needs.

My cane is going under a major surgery... its getting a powerplant transplant. Instead of fuel, it'll be running off of a 4s lipo and turning a good 50,000 rpm.

May I ask what you used it to convert it?

Product I'm testing this spring

If they meet my expectations and specs, then you'll see a brushless line of motors with my name on them.

I'm using novak's conversion kit so i can mount the motor and drop in a lipo pack.

Nick hit the nail on the head...Most people who buy RTMs arent looking for price comparisons to the stock RC, they are buying a rolling chassis so they can customize it how ever they see fit and most completed cars never end up the same as the next car.

Would you make any of the pro versions in a RTM version? Could that be custom ordered?

since you're looking at adding options for your new rtm modles, i'm going to throw something out there that i'd love to see and depending on price, buy one very quickly. i want to see a rtm roller tsunami ultra wide sitting on the tsunami epx cassis. no servo, motor, esc, or radio equipment.

you guys dont understand. the rtm models are for racers that want to put better motors in it as soon as they get it. or if they crashed another truck and only really saveable things were the electronics and the motor. for example im gonna buy a hpi t-.15 (does anyone know if it will fit in a tornado bb?) and then i will be left with a motor that will just sit there

wait a minute...if people put high end things into their RTM redcats then they would be able to win in a race. (im not saying they can't win a race as RTR's) then once people start to win races with them then word will spread out about red cat racing. then (more than likely) people will start to buy redcats becuase they hear they are good. thus making red cat racing a well known company. am i right or am i right?
