Default Speed controller fried already?

Hmm not sure what happened here but I ran the car for 5 min today and then when the battery was recharged I plugged it back in but the only the steering servo works now and no motor action. I tried the motor right up to the battery and it worked fine. I switched the servo/speed controller plugins and the steering works fine with the throttle trigger but no action from the speed controller.

Do the RC speed controller burn out quickly? Can't be that fast.

sounds like you checked it out, probably needs a new esc. the best way to test is to switch throttle and steering plugs, if the throttle works the steering and the steering works the throttle its ok, if the steering doesnt work the esc then its most likely fried unless the plugs on the engine are loose.

Well weird things are happening. I went to the hobby shop and automagically it started to work again. I then ran it for a while and looks like the car got all wet from the snow so now nothing works Good time. The dog had a hell of a time trying to catch it and bite the tires. So now I'm just trying to dry out the system and see what happens.
