Tried that already.. The nly difference was the forward becomes backward and the backward becomes forward and reverse is still faster...

what if you revers the motor wires and then reverse the throttle servo using the switch on the tranmitter?
of not, the engine you have, if not new, may have been run in the opposite direction and is "used" to running that way and thats why you see a difference.
