It all starts with the first order I made with Redcat when I ordered the body for my Tsunami, before the big move on 1/07/08 and didn't receive it till 1/23/08, the second order I made with them was on 2/01/08 and it was the whole front end for my Tsunami which I didn't receive it till 2/11/08 plus they forgot to add a part I needed front hub carrier #02014, and still haven't received the part, so I ordered the whole rear end for my Tsunami from Clermont on the 12th and received it on the 14th, installed it last night, and placed another order with Clermont to replace what Redcat FORGOT to put in my order on 2/01/08 and it has already been shipped from Clermont. Why does it take forever for anything to get to me from redcat.

Its not like they dont get hundreds of things everyday. They are always busy. We are lucky enough to see them here because they are always helping out customers at thier warehouse.

Where is the warehouse Redcat ships from? and where is the Clermont warehouse? Wich is closer to your house?
Maybe they are just slow to ship but if the price is good compared to alittle more somewhere else then maybe it would worth it to wait. But if its not a big differance then I would just order from Clermont.

No Kidding Man it takes ups 5-7 days to go across us and with the storms that have been happening Its gonna take longer I have always got my stuff from redcat i a respective amount of time. Beside RCU is not the plkace to discuss this it should be discussed with a member of there team not the people on RCU since we have no Idea what goes on there daily.
Besides that redcat has no control over what happens to the package the second it leaves warehouse its up to ups so complain about the

weird....anytime I email nick i get a response in a timely manner...I only placed one order from redcat themselves and it took longer then from a dealer...but dealers send priority also...I prefer buying from a dealer duy to they are usually cheaper and faster shipping...they prolly have wayyyyy less orders then redcat does...and just think how often you see these guys post in here...I doubt to many company executives post in forums....Darin and Nick seem to get stuff taking care of, well it seems they care to me...see many posts from both wanting to take care of their customers..

We have been a little backlogged since the move. Its for numerous reasons, such as training a new warehouse guy and more orders than normal. We apologize for this and I can assure you that soon we will be on par and shipping orders much much faster.
Buying from a dealer who may be closer, is a great idea as many of the dealers on here stock most or all parts and can get them to you faster.

Dumb, Macanan still keep in mind that redcat is an affordable brand for begginers getting into the hobby and imagine how many people call asking questions everyday...i would say about 200 calls in 12 hours. Redcat is the brand that everybody finds"first" because you can just type up "nitro rc" on ebay and what will be the first thing to pop out? Redcats and smartechs, not Serpents and Mugens. This is not something you just post up here, this is something that you email or call about privately. Your hurting Redcats business and dicouraging begginers to get into the hobby because very rarely but it still happens steryotypes come on this thread looking for negative things on Redcat and start to flame.

for $500 you should have bought the tsunami and kept your buggy and you could have bought upgrade parts for the 2 of them, lol.
i do have to say you know they had moved and were having difficulties with getting orders out since you are on the forum here alot so to make this post was a little in poor judgment on your part because you should have known what was and is going on with redcat, dont take this in a bad way bro, i just am calling it like it is.

I think you're going to find it's this way with most businesses. When you deal direct it takes longer, when you go through the middle it's quicker but maybe a little more. What's a few bucks when you're back on the road? And Redcat will still make revenue because they still sold the parts to begin with.
But anyway, the Avalanche: I'm not happy with it, I'm VERY happy with it. I was down a week from a busted pull starter but with a new roto start I'm back in the game. I've got it broke in and running smooth. My only complaint so far is that they should just come with a electric start to begin with. For the same price as an Avalanche + roto start you can just get the Warhead, which has several other great features like a reverse, but no big deal. I knew I'd probably be buying more than one MT anyway. I'll probably have three before the year's over. Plus I wanted an easier truck to learn on and since it's lower to the ground I thought I could drive it better without flipping as much.
Can't wait till it warms up a bit to hit the trails. But besides the starter it's an awesome truck and I don't regret my decision. And it looks solid, I can't imagine I'll ever break anything, but nothing lasts forever...

I don't own a Redcat (yet), but my guess is that dealers get priority over consumers when ordering direct. It's not a slam to an individual consumer, but it's a fact of business. Dealers are simply going to have bigger orders. And honestly, it's probably cheaper from a dealer than direct too.

All I have to say is..... try and order something from exceed or similar, you will quickly realize how good Redcat and its dealers really are.

I have had 3 experiences in ordering parts from Redcat directly. 2 of the orders were here within 7 days of placing the order, which is pretty good considering they are not open on the weekends. The 3rd order I am still waiting on, but that is because they are out of stock. I bought my first car through a dealer, and it was here in a timely fashion too. I am in the process if buying my 2nd vehicle and am sure it will get here in a timely fashion. If I have to wait a couple of extra days to get what I ordered then so be it. I will gladly wait. One good thing I have noticed about Redcat is that they are more informative about their products, and have several dealers, and people alone that can help with info. I posted a thread on another part of RCuniverse for my dad's Acme Condor, and it was 3 days before I got a response, and that response didn't help at all. If you post something here for Redcat, you get more than one helpful response within the first hour or two. Sometimes you have to think about the total service you get, not just how fast what you ordered get to you.
