Default Redcat 1/5 Scale

I know there have been questions about this in another thread so let me be as non committal as possible here.

First off, we do plan to have an offering of 1/5 scales sometime this year. There is no set pricing as of yet nor are there any pictures. We do not know when they will arrive for testing or what types will be available.

That is all I can share at this time and will surely fill everyone in more as I know more.

Any palnes or Helis in the near future. That would be great since you pretty much have the ground covered.

I've already got space cleared out for this rig... I spotted it a while ago and have been drooling ever since I've seen the prototype.

Boy I can't wait to get my hands on one of those motors. Brings me back to the old go-ped days, should be the same 23cc engines.

I just hope it isn't anything like the 1/5th scale gas trucks they had in chicago at the expo. Absolute junk. Yeah it looked good, but that was about it. I will have to find out from darin on this one.

All the way till the top end blows up and the crank bearings seize!!! Would not waste my money on one. You want to spend more time riding and less at the dealership buy at LTR450R or LT-Z400

ooohhhhhh! I got some pics for you. I got 4 of them with blown up top ends and cranks at my shop right now. Took one apart today and broke the rod in half and went through the case and destroyed everything. Common occurance where I work with YFZ450's. If you ride them, they will blow up! Could not GIVE a yamaha ATV to me [] Will post pics later. I think yours was faster than a LTR because of the rider maybe?

Its really hard to have a "junk" 1/5 scale. The only company that has really mastered that though is XRC. They have dirt cheap vehicles, but there aren't many happy owners out there. Hopefully what he saw was indeed an XRC vehicle.

The next question is... was it a 4wd vehicle? If not, its no redcat

I'm pullin for the name "Tempest"... Description: 1 : a violent storm

the name sounds brutal too [>:]

Darin, going to be honest. I dont remember the name of the one that i thought was junk. It also ran on the indoor track and couldn't get out of its own way. When it did, it broke and they said sorry show is over lol..

From what I know, none of the proposed 1/5 vehicles were at that show. The one you saw could have come from any of a number of factories but not the one we buy from as they dont even have samples done yet for me.

I wouldn't worry about it. The odds of it actually being one are extremely slim.
