As we all know Ive been converting my buggy to a Tsunami, and now it is finally completed, but I'm having some issue's and I hope someone can shed some light on this, the linkage for the steering doesn't seem to be right, as you can see by the pictures when the arms are fully in the down position you can see the linkage even with the arm, and when you go to turn the wheels the linkage hits the side of the arm, when the arm is raised the linkage goes above the arm allowing it to turn even more , whats causing this ? did I forget to get something ?

Ive not run it yet, but while testing everything setting here turning on the transmitter and car when I turn the wheels it will go till it hits the side of the arm and if you raise the arm up and turn it, it will turn even farther because the linkage will go above the arm.

LOL yeah thats where I put it in the first place, and when it was there, when the arm raised the wheel would do a full turn its self because the linkage is pulling it when the arm is raising, then I looked at redcats site to see how the arm steering linkage connects and it is how I have it in the picture's this picture is from redcats site

Yeah trust me Ive done a lot of research on what all it would take to do this conversion I checked a hundred times over, comparing with the Tornado, Volcano, and Tsunami on what all parts are compatible with each other and what ain't compatible.

On the Tab issue, that would work, but in order for it to work the tabs would have to be straight out flat, with leaving the shocks where they are now to keep from bending the dog bones. But that raises another question Why would they come from the factory with the tabs bent down ?

The turning radius your worrying about is normal on most of the Redcats not just yours. The Volcano, Tsunami, Tornado's all turn farther than you would think they need to. If you need to shorten it up because tires are hitting you will have to change the position on the servo arm for the throw. As for the Tabs, there bent to restrict the arm travel so they don't pull the shocks apart. Hope that helps a little [:-]

Does you transmitter have end point adjustment. That is all you need to do is adjust the end points of you servo travel, so it stops when it is flush with the edge of the arm.
