Default Some help with a new carb

i finally got a chance to install my new sh .18 carb on my tsunami, i got it on, set the hsn to 2.5 turns out, lsn flush with the collar, and the gap in the airfilter hole to about 1mm, primed it, no start, no gas out of the exhaust or the airfilter hole....some suggestions?

is the sh carb on an sh engine? i dont think flush with the collar is good on the sh, you need to have it a few turns out.

you may have flooded it and got fuel in the glow plug, i have done that before and just blew some air in the glow plug and it started working again. but you should probably get some more glow plugs anyways.

any #8 plug should work

#8 is too cold for the .18, your best off with an os a3 plug.

went to the hobby shop today...plug and starter are fine. we tinkered with it for a while but it is still not idling right...the hsn is at 2.5 turns out, and to get it to start, the lsn has to be at around 3.75 to 4 turns out, it can be lowered to around 3 turns out(about flush with the collar) but it wants to die and still wont stay still...it wants to drive away...the idle set can be lowered until it dies(a little bit at a time of course) and it still will not stay still.

im thinking of sending the motor and carb to redcat and having them put it on a chassis and having them tune it...cus the guy at the local hobby shop cant figure it out either....if nothing else, ill sell it and buy one from the hobby shop.....

Hey you can send me either the whole car or just the engine, prefer the whole car on the small engines. It's already broken in so it sounds like it either just needs a tune up or something simple like maybe you have a hole in the fuel line or maybe a leaking fuel tank seal. Double check all your exhaust and fuel system connections make sure everything is sealed tight and none of the fuel lines are leaking. If you still can't get ti to start give me a call or pm me and I'll give you my phone number so you can call if you need to.
