Default Going to Florida

[sm=biggrin.gif] WOO HOO!!!!!! Getting out of cold and snowy Minnesota and going on vacation in Florida[8D]. Will be in Rockledge,

Fl for about two weeks visiting relatives. Rockledge is about an hour or so East of Orlando. Are there any RC

tracks in the area? How

about Hobby shops? Planning on visiting Clermont Hobbies when we're in Orlando.

Going to a concert at the House Of Blues. Flogging Molly

Getting another tattoo. Maybe Redcat themed who knows.

Going to the beach bars and check out the "local scenery"[sm=tongue_smile.gif]

Can't wait to run the Volcano in warm weather. Hope the neighbors don't mind[sm=wink_smile.gif]

Dennis (clermont hobby) has a awesome track at his house a couple of miles away from his shop and I have a small track at my house a couple miles away from his shop along with 2 other tracks that have actual timed races, one is about 3 miles away from his track and the other is about 10 miles away. So you have a total of 4 different tracks to run on while you are here.

Hey vnmsgt,

not really looking to race, just looking for a place to drive my Volcano. Haven't used it enough yet to get

serious about racing. Would be cool to see others racing though. Can't wait to get there. It's cold and snowing right now.

I am at Dennis's track and I cant call what I do "racing" or "running for fun" more like "trying my darndest to stay on the track while I keep telling myself that I am getting better at racing and at the same time looking like a rookie basher" LOL. Loads of fun though.

It is kinda funny though when they come out with there monster trucks and say " we all can drive these trucks in the fields, so the track should be easy. 1 lap in and they say, forget this **** lol.. Come on down. Should be getting a timing system now

i can imagine how hard it is to turn on those corners. when i was out driving my razor i was turning and hit a loose patch of dirt and boom did a donut. i wasnt even going that fast!!! then on top of that you have jumps right before turns i would just be jumping out of bounds and driving over the boundries. i can see it already.

Hey guys, sounds fun! Leaving tomorrow (Sat.), driving (so I can bring the Volcano with).

Will be stopping in Southern Illinois to see a band (Woodbox Gang)[sm=bananahead.gif]. If you ever have time, look 'em up. Good bunch of guys. [link]http://woodboxgang.homestead.com[/link]

Anyways, will try to make it over to Clermont Hobby. Need a fuel filter, air filter, and maybe new exhaust.

Have to see later in the week if I can maybe come over and check out the tracks.

Later,
Chris

sure I will let you try all mine. Thats not a problem. Actually the badlands wont chew it up at all. It will be like driving on ice. The clay gets super hard. Need holeshots or bowties'.

Hey guys,

been in Florida for a week now. Nice weather so far. Rain a little and windy a few days.

Had my Volcano out a few times. Got it tuned to the nice weather. Just runnin' it up and down the road for now. Was doing jumps off the curb and rolled it a few times. Have to try and take some pics. Scratched the body but nothing has broke yet.

Made it over to Bradenton Raceway to see some drag racin' yesterday. Didn't see any wrecks, but saw a lot of fast cars.

Went to a Hobbytown in Melbourne. Not a lot of parts. Asked a guy about Redcat and he said he wouldn't recommend it. Oh, well.

Still plan on going to Clermont Hobby. Maybe today.
