i have been trying to use the spit test method on my rc. where do i wipe the spit on??? when i wipe the spit on the top of my head after i have run it preaty hard it boils away very slowly, ut if i spit onto where the spark plug is, the spit evaporates very quick. i know its should be around 5-7 secs but from where, the plug or to of the head. not sure if this changes anything but its around 8C temp here.

you wipe the top of the head with the spit. if it evaporates immediately or a couple of seconds its too hot, if it evaporates in like 4-5 seconds its ok, if i stays there and evaporates slowly, its too cold

Its supposed to be on the top of teh head but thats old school and would not trust it. Get a $20 temp guage adn you will be good. Wipe the spit on top of the head and it should take about 3-5 seconds to evaporate.
